Tweed Bags

My handbags began with various styles dictated by the fabric and as I experimented I developed my own patterns and the Daisy Bag was born.  I was always on the look out for that definitive fabric to set off the collection. On a visit to the Isle of Man I found it at Laxey Woollen Mill. There I stepped in to an amazing world of Tweed; the colours of the hills, mountains, sea and sand all woven together to create the perfect fabric to use.

Laxey woollen Mill has been a family run business for over 100 years and still uses the traditional hand looms to weave. Many of the tweeds I use are from short runs which gives me an ever changing range of fabric to play with.

Because of the individuality incorporated into the design and the fact that thy are all hand made by myself no one in the world will ever have the same bag as you !!

Daisy Bag

A messenger style tweed bag. Fully lined in cotton canvas.

Inside are two open pockets which can be used for phones or accessories.

The flap covers the whole gab and has a magnetic closure.

The adjustable strap gives versatility for the bag to be worn across body or on the shoulder.

The Daisy motif is handmade and embellished with different coloured embroidery threads.

This combined with the variation in Tweeds means that each bag I make is totally unique.

Tile Bag

A tote style tweed bag. Fully lined in cotton canvas.

A open pocket inside suitable for phone and other accessories.

Closure is with a magnetic clasp and handles are fixed in size.

The size of each bag is dictated by the amount of tweed fabric used and can vary slightly.

The Tile motif is created by using the small left over pieces of tweed; combining different colours together make each one unique.
